Hearthstone House has 16 elegant en-suite guest rooms, and offers an array of amenities. One of the most popular is the spa/sauna. There are also some other impressive features, such as the sauna, outdoor hot tub and free parking. Guests will also find the most important one: a great location, right near the Aspen-Pitkin County airport.

In addition to the spa, guests can expect a variety of modern amenities, including wireless Internet access, a coffee maker and refrigerator. Some rooms offer views of Aspen Mountain.

While this is not the most expensive hotel in Aspen, you do get your money’s worth. Hearthstone House is a boutique property offering a range of perks, including free parking, a business center, and free Wi-Fi.

Buttermilk Ski Area

The Buttermilk Ski Area is a ski resort in Pitkin County, Colorado. It’s located halfway between Aspen and Snowmass Village.

Buttermilk has one upscale hotel. But its most notable feature is its terrain park. This park features an Olympic-size superpipe, a 25-foot halfpipe, and massive jumps. And the mountain also hosts the Winter X Games.

Buttermilk’s terrain parks are perfect for beginners. They are wide, open, and offer plenty of room to practice. There’s even an area that’s perfect for freestyle.

Buttermilk Mountain is a great mountain to ski for families, as well as snowboarders. It has a family-friendly atmosphere and is perfect for first time skiers or boarders. Plus, it’s only a short shuttle ride away from Aspen and Snowmass.

It’s relatively inexpensive for a family to stay in the Buttermilk Resort, but it’s expensive for an individual to rent equipment. Luckily, there is an overnight equipment storage facility at the base.

However, Buttermilk does not have any double-black diamond trails, so advanced riders may want to head elsewhere. Advanced skiers should also be aware that the lift system only serves the main area and the bunny hill.
