These include the Hotel Jerome, the Inn at Aspen, and the Condominium Complex, all of which provide great scenery and a taste of the mountain.
Hotel Jerome
The Hotel Jerome is a luxury resort located at the base of Aspen Mountain. It is a historic mountain-view hotel that offers contemporary amenities and excellent service. This is a perfect place to stay during your trip to Aspen, Colorado.
A popular destination for both skiers and snowboarders, Aspen is known for its awesome terrain and frequent dumps of dry, fluffy powder. Visitors can also enjoy mountaintop yoga and picnics with live music.
With an authentic history, the Hotel Jerome is one of the most important buildings in Aspen. Originally built in 1889 during the silver boom, the hotel has played a major part in the city’s history. Today, the Jerome is an Auberge Resort and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Inn at Aspen
The Inn at Aspen Highlands Ski Resort offers accommodations in a unique location near world class skiing. Situated within a short distance from Buttermilk Mountain, guests enjoy a variety of activities that are perfect for both the whole family and free-skiers alike.
Guests can take advantage of the 24-hour front desk. They can also enjoy a variety of amenities, including a heated outdoor pool and hot tub. There is also a restaurant on site. During peak seasons, the hotel provides complimentary breakfast.
Among the many rooms at the Inn at Aspen, guests can choose from a single room, a double room, a studio, and a suite. Some of the rooms offer private patios or balconies. Other rooms have walk-in showers and TVs.
Condominium complex with Alpine ambience
The Aspen Highlands ski resort boasts some of the swankiest accommodations in the Colorado Rockies. They come in a variety of sizes and styles. For example, you can get all the bells and whistles of a luxury hotel with the freedom of a rented condo. You can even ski in and out, thanks to an upgraded tram system. In fact, the condos are actually located next to the Silver Queen Gondola. Aside from the plethora of amenities, the condos have a highly rated concierge service, a top notch gym and a snazzy spa.
To put it in context, the Aspen Highlands condos aren’t cheap, but if you’re after an experience that’s in the ballpark, they’re the only ones in town. You’re paying a premium for the privilege of skiing and snowboarding in one of the most beautiful and hospitable resorts in the country, but you’re also getting a lot for your money.
Dining experience supports local and sustainable farms
The Aspen Highlands has no shortage of options for dining. From the fine cuisine of the Pine Creek Cookhouse to the high altitude culinary escapades of the Buttermilk Mountain Lodge, you’re sure to find something to pique your interest. If you’re lucky enough to be there during peak season, you’ll also have access to the best of what the Aspen valley has to offer.
Aside from the resorts aforementioned offerings, you’ll have no trouble finding restaurants that offer some sort of a farm to table experience. Many of these places use local produce, meat, and dairy to create dishes worthy of a trip to the local farmers market. Whether you’re looking for the best burger in town, a fine meal, or a casual hangout, you’ll be sure to find it at one of these locales.
Uphill policy
Uphill skiing is an increasingly popular winter sport in Colorado. It’s not only fun, but it’s also an excellent way to burn calories. While uphilling at Aspen Highlands Ski Resort is still free during lift hours, the resort is imposing an uphill policy that starts Monday, March 18.
The uphill policy will allow uphilling during regular operational hours, but only from 5 am to 10:30 pm. This means that uphillers must leave pets at home. However, dogs are allowed to play at Buttermilk Mountain during off-hours.
Uphilling at Aspen Snowmass is fully embraced by locals and visitors. During the season, uphillers can choose from six different routes on each mountain. They can also opt for a two-day uphilling clinic.
