Aspen Mountain Resort

Aspen Mountain Resort is one of the most well-known ski resorts in Colorado and it’s a popular destination for celebrities and affluent travelers. Aspen has much to offer from skiing and outdoor recreation to fantastic dining, shopping and a lively apres-ski scene.

Its slopes aren’t for beginners, but this doesn’t mean you should pass up the chance to explore the mountain on your next visit. There are still a lot of great options, and the terrain is plenty fun for everyone, even the non-skiers in your group.

Aspen is known for its luxurious lodging, but there are also some great budget options. It is a bit more expensive than other ski resorts, but it’s worth the price tag for its amazing scenery and quality of snow.

Snowmass Mountain Resort

Aspen Snowmass is a four-season resort that features a multitude of activities and attractions for the whole family. Its expansive footprint spans across several mountain faces and elevations, providing ample terrain for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities.

While Snowmass doesn’t receive snow en masse like many Colorado ski resorts, 300 inches of fresh powder per season makes it a great choice for a long winter getaway. It also offers a range of activities for non-skiers, including alpine coaster rides, nature walks, and ponds for fishing.

Buttermilk Mountain Resort

Buttermilk Mountain Resort is one of the smallest mountains of the four Aspen/Snowmass ski resorts and it offers plenty of terrain for beginners and freestylers alike. The smooth rolling slopes are a great place to learn new skills and hone existing ones, in addition to the terrain parks and big 22-foot superpipe.

Buttermilk’s beginner-friendly terrain is complemented by a lack of crowds and excellent snowmaking, making it a top choice for families. It also hosts the Winter X Games in January and is a favorite Aspen resort for terrain parkers.

Aspen Highlands Resort

Located at the base of a 12,500-foot mountain, Aspen Highlands offers skiing and riding for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Known for its expansive views and extreme skiing, this slope is home to the world-famous Highland Bowl and a recent terrain addition that’s great for true experts.

This deluxe hotel features a heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi for relaxing after a long day on the slopes. It also has a fitness center, steam room, and a restaurant. Guests have access to free shuttle services.

Aspen Mountain Lodge

Located in the heart of Aspen, this charming resort offers ski-in/ski-out access to Aspen Mountain. It also features an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi, and ski storage.

It’s just a short walk from the gondola and a shuttle ride to downtown. Enjoy the convenience of shops, bars, and restaurants right in town.

Rooms at the lodge are spacious and feature garden views from their balconies. They come with a coffee maker, en suite bathrooms, and deluxe bath amenities.

There are 38 rooms spread across four floors. Guests can choose from budget-friendly Garden Area rooms or upscale Balcony rooms with more space and more features.

The Little Nell

The Little Nell is the only 5-star, ski-in/ski-out hotel in Aspen. Starting operations in 1989, this luxurious property sits at the base of Aspen Mountain.

The hotel features a number of amenities including free Wi-Fi and a Jacuzzi. It also offers a fitness centre and meeting facilities.

The Little Nell is a great choice for couples or families, especially those looking for an experience with an element of luxury and convenience. This 5 star property has a lot to offer and its staff go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable stay.
