Buttermilk is one of the most family-friendly ski resorts in Colorado. It has beginner-friendly slopes that allow riders to learn to ski and a terrain park that is X Games-inspired.
The mountain has three distinct areas – Tiehack, the main Buttermilk area and West Buttermilk. It also features two restaurants – Bumps and the Cliffhouse at the summit.
Limelight Hotel

Rooms at Limelight Hotel are spacious and many offer mountain views. They come with a king bed or two queen beds and some have kitchens.

The Little Nell

The Inn at Aspen
Located at Buttermilk Ski Resort, The Inn at Aspen blends rustic mountain charm with premium resort amenities and provides the only ski-in, ski-out lodging at the slopes. Guests can stay in one of 122 individually decorated guest rooms, or enjoy onsite dining and amenities like a steam room and pool.
The Inn at Aspen’s modern lobby features a 24-foot-high grand entryway with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame center stage views of the mountains. A gas fire pit and patio are perfect spots to relax after a day on the slopes.
For a truly relaxing getaway, the Inn at Aspen also offers an outdoor hot tub and a pool. Guests can also belly up to the onsite bar and grab a drink or snack.
The Annabelle Inn feels more like a cozy cabin than a hotel, but the individual rooms are clean and spacious. The courtyard is a pretty, serene spot with a rock-waterfall feature and flower pots. The two outdoor hot tubs have mountain views; they’re open year-round and feature ski videos shown at night on a large projection screen.
The Aspen Mountain Hotel
Buttermilk Ski Resort is a world-class destination for skiing and snowboarding with four unique mountains in close proximity to downtown Aspen. The four unique ski resorts include Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass and are designed for every level of skier and rider.
The Aspen Mountain Hotel is a family-run Swiss chalet-style hotel that opened in 1954 and offers 59 individually decorated rooms, ranging from small Economy Rooms to spacious two-bedroom apartments. The property features an outdoor pool and hot tub and a fitness center.
The hotel is located just a few minutes from downtown Aspen, offering guests a great value for their ski holiday. Guests can take advantage of the free skier shuttle that runs throughout the day, and ski rentals and lessons are also available at the hotel.
