Crested Butte Mountain Resort Lodging
Crested Butte Mountain Resort offers a variety of accommodations, from ski-in, ski-out hotels to vacation rentals. You can also choose to stay in town or in the surrounding areas.
For skiers and snowboarders looking for the best skiing in Colorado, Crested Butte is a top choice. It offers plenty of terrain, a fun atmosphere and is very family friendly.
The Inn at Crested Butte
The Inn at Crested Butte is a family-feel inn with the amenities of a hotel and the charm and hospitality of a bed and breakfast. Its location is close to historic downtown and offers a warm breakfast, homemade cookies and treats, and an outdoor hot tub for relaxing after a long day on the slopes.
The property offers 18 rooms, which feature cable/satellite channels and a refrigerator. All have private bathrooms with robes and amenities.
This inn is a short walk from the center of town and provides free shuttle services. It also has a 24-hour reception and luggage storage.
Most Gunnison lodging options are traditional chain hotels, but there are also a few inns and campgrounds that offer cabins and hookups for RVs and trailers. A free town bus called The Mountain Express runs between Gunnison and Crested Butte, making it easy to visit both towns.
The Grand Lodge
The Grand Lodge is a surprisingly affordable option for families looking for a condo in the heart of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. It offers ski-in/ski-out access to the mountain, free shuttle service, and full-service hotel amenities.
Rooms feature a king bed or a queen sofa sleeper, and include a flat-screen TV and WiFi. Some rooms also have a kitchenette.
A deluxe property, Grand Lodge also has an on-site restaurant and bar, as well as an indoor/outdoor pool and hot tubs. The aquatic areas are beautifully situated to give guests stunning mountain views, and there is also a children’s wading area and water features for the little ones!
In addition to all of these great amenities, the Grand Lodge also features a deli and coffee shop that serves breakfast and lunch. It’s a great place to grab a meal and relax after a day of skiing, fishing, hiking, biking or wildflower viewing.
The Plaza Condominiums
The Plaza Condominiums is Crested Butte Mountain Resort’s premier lodging accommodations. Located just a short walk from the Silver Queen and Red Lady lifts, it offers condominium convenience with hotel style services.
The spacious two and three-bedroom suites are beautifully appointed with everything you need. You’ll enjoy on-site check-in, a restaurant and bar, daily housekeeping, covered parking, and two hot tubs to make your stay truly luxurious.
Some of the units feature period moldings and mantelpieces as well as walnut-bordered herringbone parquet floors, and some are accented with original mosaic patterns found in the hotel’s lobbies. Other features include Nero Marquina stone countertops and mosaic Calacatta marble-tiled backsplashes in kitchens.
Residents who own the apartments say they feel like newly wealthy New Yorkers in the Gilded Age. And they’re happy to find that there’s a lot of privacy here.
The Lodge at Mountaineer Square
Located within the heart of Crested Butte Mountain Resort base area, The Lodge at Mountaineer Square is a ski-in/ski-out luxury condo and hotel complex. Its amenities include a heated indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub and sauna, and 24-hour front desk and concierge services.
The suites and rooms at The Lodge are a good mix of contemporary design and traditional ski lodge appeal, with wood accents, flat-screen TVs and Gilchrist & Soames bath products. Some also come with fireplaces and balconies, though views vary.
Rooms are clean and spacious, with large well-equipped kitchens. They are fitted with king-size beds and feature a desk and high-speed Internet access.
Other amenities include free shuttle service to and from the slopes, heated underground parking and ski valet. You can even take advantage of the on-site bar, Trackers Bar and Lounge, which offers drinks and seasonal live entertainment.
