Many kids choose to take advantage of this program because it’s a fun and affordable way for them to try skiing or snowboarding for the first time. Since its inception, the Passport program has seen thousands of kids come to Sunlight to ski or ride for free.
This program has helped countless kids learn to ski or ride for the first time, while also providing them with a valuable lifetime skill. For those who want to compete, it has been an invaluable tool in the training of athletes like Alice McKennis, a two-time Olympian who learned to ski at Sunlight and placed fifth in the Women’s Downhill in the 2018 Winter Olympics.
