There are 91 trails, 21 chairlifts and lots of cruisers, glades, steeps, terrain parks and halfpipes to explore on Snowmass Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Aspen Mountain or Buttermilk.

The ski resort boasts the longest lift-accessed vertical in the country at 4,406 feet and a wide variety of trails. It’s a good place for beginners to get some practice on groomers or telemarkers, and for intermediates to gain confidence in some of the more challenging runs. It’s also great for freestylers, with plenty of terrain parks filled with rails, boxes and jumps.

The majority of the lodging in Snowmass is ski-in ski-out and close to the slopes, which makes it a great place for families. This is especially true of the base village area which has been well planned and offers a wide range of family friendly activities such as the celebrated Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center.

The best option for a Snowmass vacation is to stay in the heart of the Village, where everything is close by and walking is possible. Alternatively, you can catch the free shuttles or request a ride from one of the vans.
