The Steamboat Mountian Resort is home to a wide variety of lodging. From luxury hotels and condos to family-friendly properties, there’s something for everyone.
Despite its small size, Steamboat Springs offers a variety of affordable and charming places to stay during your visit. Some are closer to the base village, while others are further afield but still within easy reach of ski lifts and other amenities.
Accommodations
Steamboat Mountian Resort Lodging offers a wide range of hotel and motel accommodations for vacationers to choose from. From downtown hotels to luxury ski-in and ski-out condos, we have something for everyone!
As one of Colorado’s original ski towns, the historic town of Steamboat Springs offers an authentic cowboy feel that entices visitors. It is a lively and friendly destination, offering a wide variety of dining and nightlife options.
Staying on-mountain is a popular option for skiers and snowboarders, especially families. On-mountain lodging is more expensive, but it’s easy to get from the base of the mountain to downtown Steamboat Springs by bus or shuttle.
For those looking for a more moderate lodging experience, the Bronze Tree condominium property is a great option. These moderate condos are ski-in and ski-out and feature 2 or 3 bedrooms with a full kitchen. They also offer great views of the ski area! The rooms are very comfortable and include a refrigerator.
Restaurants
Steamboat is known worldwide as a winter ski resort, but it offers local diners and apres-ski crowds a variety of top-notch restaurants. From classic comfort food to upscale French-inspired eats, the city’s dining scene is full of options for every taste.
When it comes to skiing, Steamboat is not as well known for its extreme terrain or bowl skiing, but it does have a lot to offer for the casual alpine skier. Its trademark “champagne powder” snowstorms catch storm fronts from Utah and Wyoming, creating some of the most pristine, tree skiing in the country.
If you want to take a break from skiing, there are plenty of slopeside happy hour bars. One of our favorite spots is Truffle Pig, located adjacent to One Steamboat Place and the gondola. Their casual American Alpine Cuisine is crafted from the freshest ingredients and makes for one of the best Apres Ski scenes in the area. They also have an extensive wine list and a variety of specialty cocktails.
Bars & Lounges
Whether you’re looking to soak up the local nightlife, relax after a long day of skiing, or simply drink some local Colorado beers and enjoy a few games of pool with your friends; Steamboat Mountian Resort Lodging has a wide array of bars & lounges to suit your needs.
One of the best places to catch live music in downtown Steamboat Springs is Old Town Pub and Restaurant, a cozy pub located in a repurposed building that was once a hotel. They feature an extensive food menu and often host live performances throughout the evening.
The Slopeside Grill is a popular year-round destination that serves large, classic dishes in a relaxed setting with mountain views. They’re also known for their ice bar, a fantastic place to sip a cold drink in the winter.
The Slopeside also has a monster “snow beach” for post-ski groups to hang out. They have a variety of bar foods and brick oven pizzas as well as a huge selection of beers on tap. They’re also a great spot to watch sporting events on their numerous TV screens.
Activities
Winter in Steamboat is full of snow activities, and you can ski, snowboard or fat bike all season long. You can also take a horseback ride on the backcountry trails and a hot springs soak at Strawberry Park.
For families, Steamboat is a top choice for ski vacations as it offers excellent accommodations and great kids activities. You can find condos, townhouses and other accommodation options on-mountain or off-mountain, with many of the larger ones located just a few minutes away from the slopes by a free resort shuttle.
For a relaxing day, head to the natural thermal springs at Strawberry Park – an incredible hot spring pool set in a scenic natural rock setting. A few degrees hotter than the cold-water pool, it’s a great way to unwind after a long ski day.
