Winter Activities in Snowmass Colorado
When you’re visiting Snowmass, Colorado, you can find plenty of activities to keep you and your family busy. You can try ice skating, dog sledding and more. There are also some great spas to check out in the area. If you want to do something a little different, there’s even cross-country skiing available on the Aspen Snowmass Nordic Trail System.
Cross-country skiing on the Aspen Snowmass Nordic Trail System
Aspen Snowmass Nordic Trail System is one of the largest free groomed cross-country ski systems in the United States. It connects the communities of Aspen, Snowmass and Basalt. There are over 90 km of Nordic skiing trails, including a 9-mile point-to-point trail.
The free system features easy golf-course skiing and more challenging, rising trails to Snowmass. It also offers many dog-friendly trails. A RFTA bus service runs between the endpoints.
