Sipapu Ski amp Summer Resort Area Cabins

Located 20 miles southeast of Taos, Sipapu Ski & Summer Resort Area is New Mexico’s fastest growing ski resort (yet you won’t wait in line for a lift). First-time and returning guests alike appreciate the quintessential mountain life found only at Sipapu: a fun, friendly mountain where your kids won’t get lost (perfect for skiers and boarders of all skill levels); clean, simple accommodations (no cell service, in-room TVs or phones – we believe families should connect with each other, not over their electronics); and the best deals around, which allows everyone to have the family vacation they want at prices they can easily afford.

Besides a fun, friendly mountain and simple accommodations, Sipapu also offers a lot of other great activities for the whole family to enjoy. For example, there is a large variety of ski and snowboard lessons available. You can even play a game of disc golf; it has been named by Disc Golf Digest as one of the top five scenic courses in the country!

There are 41 runs, a vertical drop of 1,055 feet, average snowfall of 190 inches, and a snowmaking system that covers 70 percent of the 200-acre ski area. There is also some advanced tree skiing and a few terrain parks.
